Self portrait assignment for Art Ed. I had to portray my teaching philosophy, mine being a constant cycle of reflection and change. My artist statement sounded way more grad. school-y but I can't find it.
I haven't been working with water color lately, so it was nice to experience the old, familiar feeling of anxiety that comes just before the first wash goes down on the page.

select sketches
Lately I haven't been doing too many "finished" pieces, but instead carrying around my sketchbook and constantly drawing. I layer in the color in classes at school. Here are some of my recent ones from the last couple weeks or so: Please excuse the writing, these are from my planner.
Sadly I lost my other scans because my other computer went bust. I also have finished a new self portrait I'll be scanning in soon.

First Post / Test
Hello and thanks for checking out the blog. Current things we will be adding include "about me" pages for each illustrator in the group.

I'd also like to add a "current work" section with some samples of stuff we have already completed. So, perhaps when you email me you can send a couple jps my way. Otherwise, I will just pull some stuff off of member's websites, if that's okay.
